Hela is a Marvel supervillain, the Goddess of Death and Odin’s first child, Thor and Loki’s sister. She conquered nine kingdoms (worlds) together with her father. As a result of successful military campaigns, Asgard turned into the strongest state (city-state). Hela acted as the main striking force in the war.
Soon, Odin saw a real threat to his rule in his daughter, so he had to fight with her. Defeating Hela, he banished her from the city and took her to prison. For millennia, he restrained her return to Asgard, while Hela's strength was growing.
Hiding the true truth from his children (Thor and Loki), King of Asgard changes the interior of his palace. In the throne room on the ceiling there was a picture depicting the "glorious victories" (wars of conquest) of Odin and Hela, it was covered with a new one on which King of Asgard was painted with his sons.
After Odin's death, his exiled daughter Hela returns to Asgard, before this the Goddess of Death had dealt with Thor and Loki very easily, having shown an unreal force even for the world of mythology. In the future a whole team of superheroes will not be able to cope with Hela. They will only have to accept Ragnarok to stop the Goddess of Death. The revived Surtur destroys Asgard and Hela at the same time. However, there is no reliable confirmation of the death of the supervillain.
Cate Blanchett played the role of Hela in the film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe “Thor: Ragnarok”.
